10 Marshy area Rectory Lane

Immediately south of the level crossing on Rectory Lane is a small poorly drained area which is always damp and wet in winter. It hosts a distinctive flora rich in rushes, sedges and other damp loving plants. Common plants and wildflowers include: forget-me-nots, meadow buttercup, plantain, white clover, meadow fleabane, meadow sweet, common sour thistle. bristley ox tongue and greater birds-foot trefoil.
